In short
I'm from North Carolina and now live in San Francisco. I first learned design through making drawings on PowerPoint in 2nd grade. I'm left handed.

Why UX?
After a lackluster experience at another university's design school, a friend recommended I check out SCAD. The rest is history. After my first tour I saw the value in learning in an environment surrounded by diverse and talented designers.
SCAD's UX Design program was the perfect fit. It allowed me to solve real world problems and get experience in multiple disciplines and mediums. Most importantly, I found an incredible group of talented peers who were just as obsessed with design as I am.

Life at SCAD
Design challenges, insightful events, and incredible company. Every facet of SCAD has benefitted me as a designer, community leader, and person.
While I'm not in class (or a guest talk (or a workshop)) I love playing intramural sports like tennis and pickleball. I also explore other creative mediums, it's fun to create meaningful things just for my own enjoyment, and it keeps my design skills sharp!
I'm the tall one.
Mentorship
One of the key motivators for me at SCAD was FLUX, the Future Leaders of User Experience club. I led the club's mentorship initiative, where we host 1:1 peer-to-peer tutoring sessions for students, and visit the 101 classes for live feedback.
I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the amazing upperclassmen I had who helped guide me through my first years of SCAD. I'm so happy I get to return that favor through mentorship!
Every Sunday, 2-5pm!
So what now?
After a great internship experience at Lenovo, I'm now working as a UX Designer at YouTube!
More updates to come, at some point.
