In Short
I'm from North Carolina, an avid tennis player, and I have over 1,500 photos of my cats on my phone. My current bucket list includes traveling outside of the US for once. I'm left handed.

Seriously, kudos to LEGO
Something about those plastic bricks really stuck with me. By the time I was in 5th grade, half of my room was dedicated to LEGO. I didn't realize it at the time, but my favorite pastime was teaching me valuable lessons in creativity, problem solving, and keeping a tidy room (well, I tried my best).
The "design process" to me back then was much looser. In all of my creative endeavors I made what I thought looked cool. It wasn't until later in high school that I realized how many talented designers are out there spending countless hours creating products and experiences we love.
LEGO City is easily a top 3 theme.
Why SCAD? Why UX?
After a lackluster experience at another university's design school, a friend recommended I check out SCAD. The rest is history. After my first tour I saw the value in learning in an environment surrounded by diverse and talented designers.
SCAD's UX Design program was the perfect fit. It allowed me to solve real world problems and get experience in multiple disciplines and mediums. Most importantly, I found an incredible group of talented peers who were just as obsessed with design as I am.

Life at SCAD
Design challenges, insightful events, and incredible company. Every facet of SCAD has benefitted me as a designer, community leader, and person.
While I'm not in class (or a guest talk (or a workshop)) I love playing intramural sports like tennis and pickleball. I also explore other creative mediums, it's fun to create meaningful things just for my own enjoyment, and it keeps my design skills sharp!
I'm the tall one.
FLUX Mentorship
One of the key motivators for me at SCAD was FLUX, the Future Leaders of User Experience club. I lead the club's mentorship initiative, where we host 1:1 peer-to-peer tutoring sessions for students, and visit the 101 classes for live feedback.
I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the amazing upperclassmen I had who helped guide me through my first years of SCAD. I'm so happy I get to return that favor through FLUX Mentorship!
Every Sunday, 2-5pm!
So What's Next?
This August I wrapped up my time as a UX intern at Lenovo with a team of amazing designers. Now, I'm looking for my next full time role!
Until then, find me refining case studies, building websites in Framer, and taking the next 1,500 cat photos.
